"EDUCATING THE MIND WITHOUT EDUCATING THE HEART IS NO EDUCATION AT ALL"
The mission of The Diabetes Family Connection is to positively transform life with diabetes through the power of community. Our organization provides recreation-based programs focused on building confidence, optimism, and support for families affected by diabetes.
Diabetes impacts every member of the family. At The Diabetes Family Connection (The DFC), we believe in focusing on a holistic, family approach to diabetes management. Our programs provide an intimate space for families to come together to learn from each other as well as from empathetic healthcare providers with personal ties to diabetes. Together with our vibrant community, we transform the outlook on life with diabetes.

Hear what our families have to say:
“As a newly diagnosed family this weekend helped us to learn that we are not alone and that our kids are going to grow up and be ok. There will be some bumps in the road but basically they can do whatever they want. It also taught us to let go a little. For my son who is super active and loves the outdoors it was a great way for him to connect with peers and role models in a setting that he loves. You can't beat hanging out in the mountains in an incredible setting. We learned just enough information and had a fun time doing it.”
