The Dreamer program (rising 3rd-5th grade) aims to create new shared experiences and embrace the simple joys of being at camp with a supportive community. They will spend time at the pool, archery, banana slide, canoes and more. Being a Dreamer is all about learning to use a positive mental attitude (PMA) at camp and beyond despite the highs and lows of diabetes.

With the Trailblazers (rising 6th-8th grade), your campers will be empowered to take more ownership of their diabetes through independence. They will be active throughout camp while creating opportunities for campers to not just learn more about their potential diabetes management abilities but also build friendships that will last a lifetime.

The Pathfinder program (rising 9th -10th grade) emphasizes the importance of teamwork in building and strengthening the community. Through high and low ropes courses, hikes, and team challenges, the Pathfinders are encouraged to work together towards common goals. These activities help the campers learn the importance of relying on their community for support when it comes to diabetes and beyond.

This year, the Braveheart program (rising 11th grade) emphasizes the importance of leadership both in the T1D community and beyond. They are excited to reintroduce sleeping in tents all week rather than in cabins, which allows the oldest group of campers to push beyond their comfort zone, learn new skills, and apply their PMA to all situations while building lasting memories and proving that diabetes does not hold them back!

Our Leader in Training (LIT) program (12th Grade) provides an immersive leadership experience for those who have demonstrated leadership, PMA, and an interest in returning as Camp Morris counselors after high school. LITs gain hands-on experience and cultivate future leaders of Camp Morris, the DFC, and the world. To fully prepare our future leaders, we are implementing a new interview process. The deadline to apply for the LIT program is April 1st.
