Your Camp Morris 2023 Medical and Program Counselors are excited to have you join us for a week full of excitement, friendship, and learning opportunities. Campers will be welcomed at check-in by our staff and then will check in to their cabins to meet with others in their age group. Each cabin is supervised by experienced counselors (many of whom are living with diabetes themselves and also were once campers at diabetic camp as well).

During the week, cabins will join others in their age groups for their Program activities.

  • Dreamers (Rising 3rd-5th Graders)

  • Trailblazers (Rising 6th-8th Graders)

  • Pathfinders (Rising 9th-10th Graders)

  • Bravehearts (Rising 11th Graders)

  • Leaders In Training (Rising 12th Graders)

Camp Morris is a “challenge-by-choice” environment where campers have the opportunity to participate in traditional camp activities that include: archery; canoeing; camp fires; swimming; zip-lines; arts and crafts; multiple challenge courses; and so much more! Our staff and volunteers are experts at “meeting campers where they’re at,” using teachable moments throughout the week to promote healthy, age-appropriate independence in diabetes management.

Our Camp Directors, Medical Director, Program Coordinators, Executive Director, Board Members, and the large majority of our counselors are ALL living with diabetes so we have centuries worth of experience in managing life with diabetes.

Camp Morris offers the perfect opportunity to help campers see they can live life to the fullest with diabetes by joining other kids with diabetes their age and learn from one another as well as the Camp Morris staff who excel in many different careers.
